The private onsen is wonderful.

My experience was frustrating due to several oversights. The heat was unbearable on the first night because the air-conditioning wasn't communicated properly. We had to request it. The pillows were too soft. Finally, the noise from the nearby road kept us awake, and the staff's refusal to allow us to take drinks to dinner was baffling.

Had fairly nice experience, overall luxurious place.

The location of the hotel was absolutely gorgeous and wonderful - not too far away from Hakone Toy Museum. The area was pretty quiet not far from a pristine river, green nature, and the private onsen. This was my relaxing stay for one night of your trip.
